Stallion Approvals

Please keep in mind that in order to register your foals with a specific association, your mare may first need to be presented to that registry for approval. If you are confused at all on registration options for a potential foal, talk with Hilltop Farm and your breed registry PRIOR to booking your breeding.

Additional Registry Notes

Your mare’s registration and approval play just as important of a role in deciding which registry to go with. In addition to the registry’s the stallions are approved with, there are often additional registration options based on your mare’s eligibility. Some of these are listed below. If you are confused at all on registration options for a potential foal, talk with Hilltop Farm and your breed registry PRIOR to booking your breeding.

American Hanoverian Society (AHS): Offspring out of AHS mares, by Comic Hilltop FRH and Quite Easy are eligible for registration with the AHS, but the mare owner must pay a "foreign stallion fee" to the AHS to register offspring by these stallions. Please note that Thoroughbred mares bred to Parabol are not eligible to register their foals Hanoverian due to an insufficient percentage of Hanoverian blood.

International Sporthorse Registry/Oldenburg, North America: Comic Hilltop FRH, Negro, and Quite Easy offspring may be eligible for registration upon the mare owner’s completion of a Foreign Stallion Permit.

Dutch Warmblood Studbook in North America: (KWPN-NA) Negro is a KWPN approved stallion. Please contact the registry for your mare’s eligibility to have KWPN-NA registered offspring by our other stallions, such as Riverman and Royal Prince.

Swedish Warmblood Association of North America: Offspring out of SWANA mares, by Contucci, Riverman, and Royal Prince are eligible for full registration.

Westphalian Horse Association: Any Westphalian papered and branded mare bred to a Lifetime Licensed and Approved German warmblood stallion may register her foal Westphalian.

Oldenburg Horse Breeders Society (GOV): Parabol has been approved with the GOV, but is not currently activated with them. Breeders interested in pursuing GOV registration for Parabol offspring should talk with Hilltop or the registry to learn any requirements.
