2008 Hilltop Farm Foaling Report

  • March 3rd - It's a filly!  Congratulations to Double H Farm on the birth of a beautiful filly by Orlando and out of Quick Star.  With these bloodlines, we're sure she will be a super star in the show jumping ring.  ~ Sydney update - this filly is stunning! She captivates visitors with her looks and exudes the class that her parents have demonstrated in their careers.

  • Hilltop Farm is proud to announce the addition of a colt by Royal Prince out of Corisma (Cor Noir – Our Charlie II xx) to Kay & Lloyd Lamp.  Early Sunday morning on April 6, she had a smooth delivery and was right on time for her due date.  The colt expresses the long legs and short coupling of his sire Royal Prince.  He has had his first adventure outside already and has already learned just what he can do with those long legs!

  • He's here!  The very first Comic Hilltop FRH foal to be born at Hilltop Farm arrived on Sunday, May 4th.  Out of the lovely mare EM Roxette (Rubinstein - Werther),  we expected a good temperament, but we've never had a foal this friendly and engaging with people.  His charm and charisma have won everyone over and the staff is already fighting over him.

  • At the civilized time of 10AM on May 14th, our maiden mare Cha Cha (Cordoba - Weltmeyer) delivered her first foal - a lovely filly by Contucci.  This special mare was a FEI dressage mare before entering Hilltop's breeding program last spring and her filly looks to be an excellent candidate to follow in her mother's footsteps.  She's elegant with lovely angles, and has wonderful gaits.

  • May 15th saw a new Bugatti filly born here at Hilltop Farm.  Another chestnut, with a beautiful face lovely long legs.  Sometimes with great joy, also comes great heartache.  During foaling, we lost this filly's wonderful dam Florette (Festrausch - Continue). Many of you will remember this stunning black mare from her numerous wins during Dressage at Devon.  Her incredible presence is already seen in this young filly and she will be a cherished reminder of Florette.

  • Our last foal of the year was born on May 19th, an elegant bay colt that is a full-sibling to last year's inspection champion Ripley.  By Royal Prince and out of Rivita (Riverman - Carolus), presence, movement, and disposition all shine through.  This was and easy delivery and this bouncing colt was up and nursing quickly.  A wonderful end to our season!
