Dancing til Dawn
May 13, 2010 black Hanoverian filly out of the Hanoverian mare MS Winesome (Weltmeyer / Werther). White star and strip, one sock. We are over the top about Dancing til Dawn. She has the superb conformation, and the exceptional movement that we were hoping for with this breeding. In addition she has that certain “look at me” presence that is sure to make her stand out in the show ring. This gorgeous black filly by Donarweiss GGF is out MS Winesome, one of our top broodmares. Winesome is also Cabana Boy’s grand dam. She is by the world famous Hanoverian Stallion of the Century, Weltmeyer. He currently has over 80 approved sons standing at stud. Winesome’s dam sire Werther was Hanoverian Stallion of the Year in 1992, and has often been called “Versatile Werther” for his ability to jump as well as move. This versatility is the key to athleticism. Not only does Werther pass this trait on to his progeny, but he is known for passing on excellent temperament and rideability as well. Dancing til Dawn is an awesome dressage or broodmare prospect. (Posted 7/13/10)
Price: $9,500 (before weaning)

Winesome and In-Utero 2011 Foal
1993 Hanoverian mare in foal to Donarweiss. MS Winesome is an exceptional 17-hand proven broodmare with superior conformation and temperament. SHE IS THE GRAND-DAM OF CABANA BOY! Imported from Germany, Winesome comes from a long line of States Premium mares. Her sire, Weltmeyer, has been called the dressage sire of the century. In 1998 he was the Hanoverian Stallion of the Year in Germany and in 2004 was the USEF leading dressage sire even though he was standing in Germany. He currently has over 80 approved sons standing at stud.
Winesome’s dam sire Werther, Hanoverian Stallion of the Year in 1992, has often been called “Versatile Werther” for his ability to jump as well as move. This versatility is the key to athleticism. Not only does Werther pass this trait on to his progeny, but he is known for passing on excellent temperament and rideability as well.
Winesome is the dam of Maple Run Farm’s very successful broodmare Britania, the dam of Cabana Boy, as well as our own very successful broodmare Boario. Needless to say we are very pleased with Winesome and her offspring. She is an excellent mother and is very easy to breed and handle. She loves attention even with a foal by her side.
