Princi
2010 bay premium ISR/OldenburgNA filly out of the Welsh Section D mare Clanfair Mary Kay (Kentchurch Chime - grandsire). Overall inspection score was 8.2 and with a movement score of 8.5. It was the second highest movement score at the inspection. She was shown in hand at NCDCTA Sport Horse Breeding show- fillies 2010 and placed first with a score of 78.2%- trot score was 8 with comment that her movement was "uphill for her age". This placing made her eligible to compete at the USDF Breeders Championship at Devon. At Devon she competed in the fillies 2010 class and received a 7.9 for her trot and the comment on the scoring sheet - "good rhythm and round motion" -final score 74.3%. She currently stands at about 14 hands and has been handled daily since birth. She clips/trailers/stands on the cross ties and has had her feet trimmed every 5 weeks and is very good with the farrier. Her dam, Clanfair Mary Kay, is a Section D Welsh Cob with excellent bloodlines for dressage. Mary Kay's grandsire is the well know Kentchurch Chime that was on of the first ponies to compete in upper level dressage. He won Grand Prix classes and the Region 9 Grand Prix championship. This amazing sire started dressage at the age of 9 and retired at 17. He has produced foals that have competed at the FEI levels. Mary Kay herself has been an amazing pony mare. She came to our farm as a 2 year old and was started undersaddle at 3 and at 3 1/2 was entered into a lesson program and became the children's favorite. During her ISR/Oldenburg NA 2010 inspection she received many 8's and an overall score of 109 placing her as one of the top scoring mares at the inspection. She was awarded Premium status in the Mare Book. She went on to receive 2nd place for the 2010 High Score Mare Award with the ISR/OldenburgNA. She received second place out of all the mares from the east coast and based on her confirmation score was placed in the star program. Sweet Pea
2011 bay ISR Sport Pony filly out of the Half-Welsh mare Poplar Meadows Shilo (Welsh-Kelly Acres Tinsel). Star and 3 white socks. Sweet Pea is a very sweet, curious, athletic little gal and has very nice movement with an extremely pretty head and face. Sweet Pea’s dam is Poplar Meadows Shilo – a 13.2h half Welsh/Arabian pony registered with the Welsh Pony & Cob Society of America (originally from Canada) and approved by the ISR/Oldenburg sport pony registry. Sweet Pea's dam has a wonderful temperament for children, lovely gaits, and is very talented at both dressage and jumping. Sweet Pea's half-brother out of the same dam is a 3 year old premium ISR sport pony stallion prospect who was overall site champion (horses and ponies) of his ISR/Oldenburg inspection. Phenix
2012 bay ISR/Oldenburg NA Sportpony colt out of the Welsh Section D mare Clanfair Mary Kay. Born March 28 with four white 1/2 stockings and small blaze, this colt is already showing all the talent and promise of his full sibling Princi. He has been handled since birth and is brave and willing. He has correct conformation and big gaits. Phenix has a good shoulder and reach with a powerful hindquarter. His dam, Clanfair Mary Kay, is a Section D Welsh Cob with excellent bloodlines for dressage. This mare's pedigree has many of the WPSCA's best imported award winning sires and many have received the prestigious Legion of Merit award. Most notable in dressage circles is Mary Kay's grandsire, the well known Kentchurch Chime, that was one of the first ponies to compete in upper level dressage in the US. He won Grand Prix classes and the Region 9 Grand Prix championship. This amazing sire started dressage at the age of 9 and retired at 17 and has produced foals that have competed at the FEI levels. Phenix was reserve champion for Foal Championship at VADA/NOVA Breed Show 08/2012 as a result he was invited to attend 2012 GAIG/USDF Breeders Championship at Devon. He consistently received 8 for his walk and trot score of 7.8 with many first placings. He has lifetime registration with USDF/USEF. He will be presented for inspection to the ISR/Oldenburg Sept. 2012.
Phenix was registered and branded with ISR/Oldenburg Sportpony 9/2012 and received 8.2 for movement. He then showed at Devon and in the 2012 colts class he placed 8th out of a class of 18 with a score of 76.7%. He then topped this placing by finishing 5th in the USDF/GAIG Breeders Chamionship East Coast Series Final Foal Championship with a score of 76.1%. He was the highest placed NC bred colt in the class. Some of the judges comments included: “balanced proportions, good alignment in legs, good reach and swing through back, balanced and steps under, promising athlete.” The show season concluded with Phenix placing 7th in the USDF year end awards for the 2012 Colts and 2nd for the ISR/Oldenburg All Breeds awards for 2012 colts. Fox Creek's Pop Rocks
2012 black German Riding Pony Colt out of the German Riding Pony mare St.Pr.St. Loretta (Kennedy / Brillant). Pop Rocks was awarded the Gold Premium distinction at his foal inspection. Pop Rocks' dam is the States Premium mare, Loretta, imported from Germany. Loretta was the 2004 Championesse of the Weser-Ems Elite Mare Show in Germany. She is a very elegant mare with expressive movement and a very kind, quiet temperament. Her sire is the well-known FEI Pony, Kennedy. (Posted 4/1/13)
