Ria d'Or
1998 grey OldenburgNA mare out of the OldenburgNA mare Cor Dia (Cor Noir / Gotthardsen / Grande). Star, right hind sock - 16.2 hands. Ria d'Or won Dressage at Devon's 2001 Young Horse Championship title, won the East Coast USDF Breeders Championships and is approved in the Premium Mare Book with the Oldenburg NA Registry. Ria is a beautiful type with a balance of solid bone and refinement. She is a powerful mare with elevation and scope in her movement. Her offspring share the same natural elevation and powerful mechanics which have made them ALL Premium Foals. Ria's offspring tend to be tall (16.2H to 17.1H) with calm dispositions, and have all been black, bay, or gray [Ria appears to be Homozygous for Black/Bay (EE), and Heterozygous for Gray (Gg)]. Icy River, (Ria's 2008 filly by Ideal) was also a Dressage at Devon winner, the champion filly at the Fair Hill Breeding Show, and the Champion Filly at her Oldenburg Inspection. Bred and raised at Hilltop Farm, Ria d'Or was sired by Riverman, out of Cor Dia (a Hilltop mare sired by Cor Noir). Ria has had 6 foals to date, with the most recent born June 30, 2010. We plan to breed her back and sell her in foal. The owner loves her offspring and has several on the farm. Ria was started under saddle 3-4 years ago; and excelled in jumping with beautiful form, excellent scope, and easy ridability. This is a rare opportunity for a beautiful, proven broodmare with outstanding offspring, and strong bloodlines originating from both sides of her pedigree. Riseildor (Risen)
2002 bay Holsteiner/TB gelding out of the TB mare Where's Amelia (Great Mystery). "Risen" is a lovely and talented young gelding with a promising future. He is currently working at 1st level. He has been successfully showing, since he was 5, in eventing, jumpers, and hunters. Risen is steady and rhythmic with a powerful jump. He has moved up to Training level eventing with his Amateur owner / rider as well as showing in medals, equitation, hunter under saddle and under pleasure classes. In the jumper arena he has been consistently in the ribbons at 3’6’’ and schooling at 4’. This fall was his first time in a Grand Prix field at the Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic, where he went around like a pro. Risen loves to jump, he’ll jump anything from anywhere. He has an awesome work ethic, fun and sweet personality, great on trails, has been ridden in some traffic, wonderful to travel with, good for vet and farrier, bathes, ties, lunges, clips, trailers, excellent barn manners, smart, attentive, always in the ribbons, awesome automatic changes I could just go on and on. I love the horse. Born and raised on my farm, I have been his primary trainer / rider.
Risen’s raw talent comes from a long line of champions. He embodies the best of his breed: a very athletic horse, powerful in movement, with scope and stamina. His athleticism, personality, trainability, and beautiful type are just a few of the qualities that make him over the top. Risen is certain to become a cherished mount for a rider to confidently pursue advanced disciplines. His willing, friendly nature combined with his talent will make it a fun journey and a rewarding partnership. I'm moving on to a new phase in my life and sadly must sell, he just won't be happy if he's not training and competing. Serious inquiries and competition home only. (Posted 10/29/09)
