Rossi

2006 bay Oldenburg gelding out of the Oldenburg mare Jazztime (Jupiter - Celeste / Churchill). Large star, snip, white on all four legs. This is the perfect young horse for an amateur who wants to be a part of the training process. He was backed and started this spring and although he is still considered green he has an incredibly willing attitude and a very quiet temperment. He has three elegant gaits that are comfortable and easy to ride. He is currently schooling training level work in the ring. He has also been started over cavaletti and is hacked out on a very regular basis. He is big enough to easily carry a tall rider but quiet enough to be ridden without difficulty by someone smaller. With his great temperment Rossi will make a great partner for an amateur rider looking for a talented youngster. Additional photos and video available upon request. (Posted 7/21/10)

Roya DorindaRoya Dorinda DamRoya Dorinda

2008 filly out of proven FEI mare, Kontessa (Kevekko/Tampa). This filly’s mother has proven herself as an excellent FEI Adult Amateur Horse, and she has passed her temperament and athletic ability on to this beautiful filly. Kontessa has been owned, ridden, and trained by an adult amateur who has brought her from knowing absolutely nothing to competing at Prix St. George and getting scores in the upper 60s (in less than 4 years). Even more impressive is the fact that Kontessa is her owner/rider/trainer’s first dressage horse. Furthermore, Kontessa is only 8 years old herself, and she is schooling all Grand Prix movements and is currently ready to be shown at I-1.

Update: Kontessa just returned from competing at Dressage at Devon 2009 in PSG with her Adult Amateur owner. With no coaching or assistance, they scored a very respectable 63% placing them in the middle of the group overall (beating lots of professionals). She also placed 2nd in her Fourth Level class at Devon as a late entry filling a “scratch.”

Roya Dorinda is an exquisite blend of both her sire and dam: superb temperament, beauty, and trainability from her dam and elegant movement, spirit, and beautiful gaits from her sire. She is a wonderful prospect for any sport discipline…but especially dressage. She has been regularly handled and loves to receive affection. She will stand for the farrier and is calm with clippers, etc. (Updated 10/2/09)
