"Donarweiss is always eager to learn.
At age six, he has already learned his tempi's through 2's, working
pirouettes, and the idea of half-steps. Many horses never reach
where he already is at an early age. I look forward to his FEI
debut this coming season." Chris Hickey |

Light,
expressive, and athletic are all terms that apply to Donarweiss GGF.
This is a stallion that comes out ready to work each day and applies
himself fully. In-hand show success came easily to Donarweiss.
Katja Eilers handled Donarweiss to his 2004 NEDA Grand Champion, New
England Cosequin Champion, and USDF Horse of the Year for 3 Year Old
Colts & Geldings wins. Donarweiss then traveled to Hunter/Jumper
trainer Joe Forest to be started under saddle and prepared for his
Stallion Licensing. With a pedigree that included De Niro,
Donnerhall, Hohenstein, and Caprimond, DW was always considered to
be a dressage prospect. His extreme talent over fences though
caught the attention of many professionals. "Donarweiss is straight,
correct over fences, with the best technique I have seen since
Popeye K," says Joe Forest. Judges at his 30-day test agreed
and awarded Donarweiss a '9' for Technique and an '8' for capacity
for his jumping ability. |

Donarweiss's
movement is just as impressive as his jumping ability. Earning
scores of '8' and higher for all three gaits, and a '9' for
rideability, Donarweiss GGF was named Overall Champion of his
Performance Test.
Sire De Niro is also considered a
versatile stallion by his Performance Test scores and the
competitive success of his offspring. Dressage and jumping
riders look to this stallion to produce athletic, exceptional-moving
offspring who often have lovely form over fences. De Niro
himself has been a successful Grand Prix dressage competitor, not as
suprise as his sire, Donnerhall, won numerous World Cup, World
Championship, and International Grand Prix wins with Karin Rehbein. |

Dam sire Hohenstein was Reserve
Champion of his Stallion Performance Test and is very popular with
breeders in Germany. His son, His Highness, caused an
international sensation when he was sold for a record 550,000 Euro.
Hohenstein is the son of Caprimond, whose lovely type and excellent
rideability has been utilized in Trakehner and Hanoverian breeding
programs very successfully.
Donarweiss GGF is
proving to be a consistent producers as his sire and grandsires are.
Bred to a wide-variety of mares, his refinement, athleticsm, and
lovely topline are evident in his youngsters already. |
