A yearling gelding by Sternlicht that has three good quality gaits with an especially strong canter with an active and well-engaged hindleg. He’s also got a good foundation, wonderful expression, and harmonious conformation. Combined with a cheerful, outgoing nature we believe Statesman is going to be a really fun one to bring along.  Dressage at Devon 2024 was his first show outing and he handled it like a pro, finishing 3rd in the Yearling Colts/Geldings class and 5th in the USDF East Coast Breeders Series Colt/Gelding Finals – both with scores over 79%.

Sire Sternlicht (Soliman de Hus-Rascalino) is a 3x US Dressage Finals Champion who has competed up to the Grand Prix. Sternlicht descends from 8 generations of States Premium mares. His sire was an early standout earning nine scores of 9 or higher at his Stallion Performance Test, competed to the Grand Prix level, and is highly regarded for his stamp on rideability and type in his offspring. Sternlicht has sired Premium Foals and Inspection Site Champions as well as USDF breed show winners. His oldest offspring have earned multiple top ten finishes at USDF Regional Championships.

Dam For Fun HTF is a Premium mare with ISR/Oldenburg and Premium Eligible with the AHS. She was Reserve Champion for the USDF Breeders Series Finals as a foal and placed 2nd at Dressage at Devon in the Broodmares 4 & over class. She has fantastic rideability undersaddle and has been a farm favorite because of her easy nature. Her foals consistently show good movement and two have earned Gold Medal foal awards to date.

Statesman is registered with the Hanoverian Society, is microchipped, and has his USEF Lifetime number and USEF National Passport.  At his foal inspection, the judges praised very good hindleg and said this is the type we are looking for.  He impresses us even more as he has matured.  A full set of screening films has already been taken.
